INTRODUCTION
India is celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore (1861–1941). Tagore’s timeless message of universal brotherhood, his thoughts and messages should be translated into reality. His belief in the spiritual unity of the East and the West was a powerful message of redemption for a society beset by greed, callousness and irreverence. He is South Asia’s voice of love in a wider global perspective, a bridge of friendship. His songs should be sung forever; his works should be read for centuries to come. Tagore’s enduring influence on history comes through the many layers of his thoughts.
