NOTICE OF ICPR :WHO IS WHO IN PHILOSOPHY:

What is the Project :
‘WHO IS WHO IN PHILOSOPHY’ is an important documentary work aiming at compilation of the essential information regarding the people working in different areas of philosophy and allied subjects. This information is supposed to be comprising :

• personal details like name, address, phone, E-mail and
• designation, affiliation and information of the department/place of work,
• research pursuits & publication
• achievements and significant contribution to the field by a Scholar.

The Outcome:

The whole project is supposed to reflect the entire community of philosophers and those working in allied subjects in the country and abroad. The data base may be useful for the researchers and other entreats in the area in the following way :

• to contact scholars regarding the specialized area,
• get the benefit of the experts and learned persons,
• repetition and redundancy in pursuits may be avoided and advancement in the area be procured.

In addition to above, it will subserve as the fundamental and authentic documental work in the area. The information gathered through the project will present the status quo of the philosophers and other persons devoted to philosophy and allied areas.

Publication :

The said directory will be published in a book form. It will be handy and will be available on line at the ICPR official website http://www.icpr.in also for quick consultation.

Present status of the Project :

‘WHO IS WHO IN PHILOSOPHY’ is in fact is a documentation work which requires updation and modification from time to time. ICPR in its ongoing pursuit has received many entries so far. The list of such entries from dept./Inst./Univ./Persons etc. has been put on the ICPR official website www.icpr.in.
