86th Indian Philosophical Congress

CALL FOR PAPERS

Participants are requested to submit their papers for presentation in the Congress

by following the guidelines listed below:

  • Papers should be written keeping in mind the specified sections viz.,

a)     History of Philosophy b) Epistemology and Metaphysics c) Logic and Scientific Method d) Ethics and Social Philosophy e) Religion.

  • A paper for presentation must be confined to 1500 words, or roughly 4 pages

(A-4 size) typed in double space in Times New Roman script so that every presenter  may be allowed to finish the paper. If in any case the paper is longer than the  specified length a summary of the same may be prepared for presentation while the original paper may be submitted for publication in the Proceedings later.

  • A paper along with an abstract of not more than 500 words (and a summarized form as per specification mentioned above where applicable) should be submitted by 30th September 2011 so that it can be published in the Abstract of Papers.
  • Papers should be sent by email to ipc86.au@gmail.com or it may be posted

along with a soft copy typed in Microsoft Word (any version earlier than office 2007) to Dr (Mrs) Subashini R Gandhi, Local Secretary, 86th IPC,  Professor and Head, Department of Philosophy, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar, 608002 (Tamil Nadu).

  • Special care is to be taken by the paper-writer to make the soft copy print-error-free.

Call for Papers for an E-Seminar on

“Philosophy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh”

The Centre for Positive Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies (CPPIS) is going to organise an E-Seminar on “Philosophy of Shaheed Bhagat Singh on 23rd March, 2012. Research papers from faculty members, research scholars and academicians are invited in English/Hindi language consisting about 2500-3000 words with an abstract of 200 words. All the electronic papers will be published on net and selected papers will be included in the following issues of “Lokāyata: Journal of Positive Philosophy”.

Format for Submission:

Please submit the electronic copy of your paper as well as a hard copy with a certificate of originality of paper by/before the 31th January 2012 in the following format by post on below mentioned address. You can also email us paper with scan copy of certificate at mses.02@gmail.com.

Notes and references should appear at the end of the articles as Notes. The following style of reference may be strictly followed:

  • In case of Journal: Authors last name, initials, year of publication, name of the paper, name of the journal (italic), volume number, issue number and page number.
  • In case of a Book: Authors last name, initials, year of publication, title of the book(italic), name of publisher, place of publication and page numbers.
  • In case of an edited Book: Authors last name, initials, year of publication, name of the editor, title of the book (italic), name of publisher, place of publication and page numbers.
  • In case of institution/Govt. Report: full name of the institution/ministry, year of publication, place of publication.
