Call for Papers
The School of Buddhist Studies and Civilization has planned to organize an International Conference between September 7-9, 2012 to investigate and identify the multifarious traditions that Buddhism has evolved within its long history. The prime vision of the conference is to visualize the numerous traditions and sub-traditions that Buddhism inculcated in its long journey with an aim to set up a forum for the academicians engaged in Buddhist studies to take a cohesive and collective brainstorming. The conference will be able to establish the true Buddhology with a strong message of transparent research methodology. It will also prelude to the Buddha’s message of peace and harmony right into deepest fathom of human universe. The main theme of conference is Introspection on Buddhist Traditions with the four sub-themes:
1. Diversity and Change in Buddhist Sects
2. Development of Buddhist Ethics
3. Dissemination of Buddhism from India to different countries
4. Buddhist Literary Traditions of India and abroad
The submission details are as follows:
1. Last date for submission of Abstract: May 10, 2012
2. Submission of Full Research Paper: June 30, 2012
3. For Indian delegates registration fee Rs.500/- and Foreign delegates are
exempted from registration fee.
The formal invitation letter will be sent to the scholars after the acceptance of full paper and clearance from the Abstract and Research Paper Scrutiny Committee. The date of issue of Invitation letter will be August 1, 2012.
