The Seminar was Inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Hon’ble Minister of Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in presence of, Prof.(Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Director, The Indian Institute of Law, New Delhi, Prof.(Dr.) Usha Tondon, Professor- Incharge, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, Prof.(Dr.) Naresh Kumar Vats, Professor, NLU-Nagpur. International Seminar was attended by Ministers, Judges, Members of Parliament, Bar Leaders, eminent lawyers, jurists, law teachers, journalists and law students from different countries. In the Seminar more than 270 Participants has participated from India.

Recently on 16thJune, 2018 we have organized One Day International Seminar on Protection of Women and Children Rights: Issues and Challenges at The Indian Law Institute, New Delhi in academic collaboration with National Law University, Nagpur, Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla and Faculty of Law – University of Port Harcourt and International Council of Jurists, London. The Seminar was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister Shir. Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Govt. of India in august presence of Prof. Mool Chand Sharma, Professor, University of Delhi, Prof.(Dr.) Vijender Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, National Law University, Nagpur, Prof.(Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Director, The Indian Institute of Law, New Delhi and other legal fraternity. International Seminar was attended by Ministers, Judges, Members of Parliament, Bar Leaders, eminent lawyers, jurists, law teachers, journalists and law students from different countries. In the Seminar more than 270 Participants has participated.

Department of Philosophy and Sanskrit ,Cachar College, Silchar is going to organized a two day ICPR’s Sponsored National Seminar on The Relevance Of Indian Epistemology.

Papers may be presented on the following stated sub themes or any other allied to the present ones:

1. Debate between the Cognitivists and the Sceptics .

2. Truth and Validity, The Debate between the Nyaya and Mimamsa systems in the context of the validity of cognition.

3. Theories of Error as a special feature of Indian Philosophy.

4. Knowledge of Knowledge, Knowledge of the Self (Atman) and the Not-self, Brahman and the World, Knowledge of the human ends or the Purusarthas.

5. Inter- Cultural Relevance of Epistemology in Indian Philosophy, Forms of life and epistemology.

6. Contemporary Indian approaches to Epistemology with reference to B.K. Matilal, J. N. Mohanty & others.

7. Importance of Knowing from Words as a special contribution of Indian Philosophers to the world’s intellectual culture.

8. Reason and Experience in Buddhist Epistemology.

9. Cognitive Scepticism of Nagarjuna, Jayarasi, Shriharsa.

10. Manifoldness of Reality and Relativity of knowledge Vs Absolutism in Knowledge

11. Tribal Culture and Community Knowledge.

· Intimation of acceptance: 2-3 days

· Last Date for submission of full paper: 25 th sep 2018

Submission Guidelines:

· Word Limit for the Abstract: 300-500 words.

· It must be typed using MS Word in Times New Roman Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with a margin of 1” on all sides and 1.5 line spacing.

· Kindly mention the title of the abstract along with details of co-author (if any).
