Call for applications: OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship – 2016 Training Programme (English language)
The Indigenous Fellowship Programme was launched in 1997 by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in the context of the first International Decade of the World’s Indigenous People. The aim of the programme is to give representatives of indigenous peoples the opportunity to gain knowledge on the UN system and mechanisms dealing with human rights issues in general and indigenous issues in particular. Trained participants are better equipped to assist their organisations and communities in protecting and promoting their rights. This training programme is available in 4 languages: English, Spanish, French and Russian.
Please note that the deadline to receive applications for the 2016 English language component of the Indigenous Fellowship Programme is: 25 May 2015.

ICPR Fellows’ Meet 2015-16

(New Delhi, 28th to 30th April 2015)


This is to inform and invite all the current Fellows of ICPR belonging to 2013-14 and 2014-15 batches to join the ICPR Fellows’ Meet 2015-16 to be conducted at New Delhi for 3 days, from 28th to 30th April 2015.

The concerned Fellows are requested to book their tickets, bearing the expenditure from their contingency grant. The Tickets may be produced for contingency claim as and when required. The Council will take care of accommodation and other facilities.

                         The Meet is organized to make an assessment of the fellows’ work and facilitate their research.  The participant fellows are advised to prepare their presentation in the order of (a) main framework of their research / project under the fellowship, (b) work done so far, (c) work to be done, and (d) the main issues / difficulties involved in their work. On their presentation, the recourse persons can assess the work and provide their valuable suggestions to help the Fellows. The participants, therefore, are requested to prepare a write-up with Power Point Presentation for 10 Minutes. Each of the fellows will be given 10 Minutes for Presentation and 5 Minutes for remarks / discussions/ questions/ suggestions from experts. The Time slot may be increased depending upon number of participants, details of which will be informed shortly after receiving confirmation from the respective fellows.

The Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR) invites application for Junior Research

Fellowship (JRF) in Philosophy or its allied areas of study as specified below from eligible scholars

against available seats out of 60 JRF, 15 GF and 4 SF for the Batch / Year 2015-16. Those, who are

already registered for Ph. D degrees in the concerned areas of study, can apply for the JRF. Those,

who have already availed a fellowship, cannot apply for another fellowship within the span of 5

years. Having availed a fellowship, one cannot apply for the same fellowship again or a fellowship of

a lower rank. Details of the fellowship, eligibility criteria, and instructions, etc., are provided

herewith. Prospective applicants have to send their filled-in-application in the prescribed application

format along with the necessary documents through Speed-Post. Soft copy of the filled-inapplication-

form, Synopsys and Bio Data, keeping all of them in a single file, either in MS Word or

PDF file format, may be sent through email.

Last date of Receiving Applications is 30th April, 2015.

Schedule of Test and Interview for JRF and GF will be conducted in May/June 2015. The exact dates

will be announced / informed shortly.
