Dear friends,
We would like to first thank you for your active participation in events at the Manipal Center for Philosophy and Humanities. As you know one of our main objectives is to widen our cultural community so that we get the opportunity to engage with people within and outside of Manipal University. We would like to thank those who attended our last event – ‘Dhvani’. Your active participation made it a real success and we were happy to have so many people attend and participate actively in this event.
We would like to take this opportunity to announce a Workshop on Caste, Experience and the Poverty of Education to be held on the 8th and 9th of December 2014. In this workshop we will have several academic speakers of repute working on the issues of Caste and Education including Prof. Gopal Guru from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and Prof. Amman Madan from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. Please find Attached/ below the flyer for this workshop. We have included a moderate registration fee that covers lunches which will be provided on these days.
We do hope to meet you all again and to interact with you and have all those wonderfully exciting debates and discussions.
